Missing the Point Bashio

I just posted this over on MMO Champ, but it's buried so I figured I'd go ahead and post it here as well. I was responding to Bashiok's recent PvP statement concerning world PvP.

Way to completely miss the point Bashiok. "Need rewards", yeesh, ever heard of something called "fun"? You don't have to grind for something better 24/7 to enjoy the game you know. Sorry, but ilvl +25 ain't exactly the most important thing in your game.

Another majorly forgotten issue on Bashiok's part, something Blizzard has been trying to craft while at the same time destroying it from the inside: COMMUNITY. World PvP requires a community. There is no Horde or Alliance anymore, it's just masses. There is no server anymore, it's just masses.

Blizzard, you constantly attempt to make new tools with which to allow players to get together. To bring us all together in one big happy family. That is great on you for the most part! Those tools can be useful. The problem is that your game no longer encourages players to actually get together and be a community. It's a game full of community tools with no need for a community.

I could elaborate but I won't because it would turn into a giant list. I'll just repeat it. WoW is a game full of community tools with no need for a community.
